PYMATUNING TOWNSHIP –When you start a business, you work hard to keep the doors open.

When Ken Lapinski and Bill Arbanas started Powered Aire in 1997, they worked hard so that others could keep their doors open. Of course, when the purpose of your product is to enable a door to be open without letting the bugs and outside air in, it makes a little more sense.

Twenty-five years later, it is safe to say they achieved their goal. Powered Aire has grown into one of the nation’s leading air curtain manufacturers and its products can be found on doors, docks and openings throughout North America.

From its inception, Powered Aire worked to manufacture air curtains using the highest quality material with innovative performance features and a competitive price point. A modest product line has evolved into a complete line of air curtains that can be used on applications ranging from small drive-thru windows to large airplane hangar doors.

Key areas of business for Powered Aire include retail stores, restaurants, and grocery chains, as well as industrial applications like warehouses, distribution centers, and cold storage facilities.

“I am proud of the people, the product and the community, all of which helped turn Powered Aire into the company it is today,” said Lapinski, who is president of Powered Aire. “Of all our 25 years, the last few have proven the most interesting. If you told me that one day, we’d be making air curtains that use UVC light to kill airborne viruses, I would have thought you were crazy.”

Powered Aire is well-positioned for continued growth and expansion. The company consistently invests in its people and products, while working with its customers to ensure the highest level of service and support.

It’s tough to tell what the next 25 years will hold, but for Powered Aire, it will continue working to keep the doors open.
